Beauty and the Beast

The other day, I was rummaging through a music bargain bin at Borders. At first, I didn’t see anything that interested me; then, I noticed a CD titled “Time Space” and subtitled “The Best of Stevie Nicks.” That piqued my interested and I immediately poured over the song list to see if it was included. And it was there, THE song. Naturally, I bought the CD.

I first heard “Beauty and the Beast” many years ago, probably 20 or so years. I was deeply moved, but never acted on it. I do that sometimes; it’s as if I want to freeze a moment in time that I know can never be repeated exactly. So, I didn’t buy the song back then. But the other day, my spirit told me the time was right.
